Hi Rebecca and all,
Do you have any recipes/hint for making fruit preserves/conserves (whole or chunky fruit, as opposed to a jam/jelly)?
Thanks!
Bridget

Re: Fruit Preserves/Conserves
I preserve fruit, like pitted cherries or sliced pears, as per standard home-canning recommendations; however, I always omit the sweetener.
I make fruit preserves, like apple or peach butter, by first saucing them and then cooking them down into a thick concentrate. You'll find standard directions in Joy of Cooking.

By not adding sugar (as per my advice in the above string) the preserves will have fewer calories.
